How to donate
‘Carr-Gomm has given me a caring stable environment to live in at a time when I needed it most.’
Your donations will go directly towards helping vulnerable people improve their health and wellbeing.

There are some other tax-effective ways of supporting Carr-Gomm which can benefit you in the form of a tax rebate or inheritance tax relief:
You can leave us money or a share of your estate in your Will. This will not affect you during your lifetime, but enable your heirs to avoid inheritance tax – currently 40% of a certain value of your estate (this value changes so do check).
If you have already made a Will, but would like to leave a gift to Carr-Gomm, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil. If you do not have a Will at the moment, you may need to see a solicitor. Although you have to pay a fee, you will receive sound professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are carried out.
Please contact us if you would like more information on leaving a legacy.
Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables employees to donate to Carr-Gomm straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated.
If Payroll Giving is already facilitated through your place of work, ask them about how employees can donate to Carr-Gomm. If they don’t already, please encourage your employers to set up a scheme by contacting the Payroll Giving Centre: Payroll Giving Centre
Giving shares is a highly tax-efficient way of donating to Carr-Gomm. If you decide to give shares to Carr-Gomm, you are entitled to claim back full tax relief against the value of those shares.
If you would like to donate listed shares, you will need to complete a stock transfer form which is available from the company whose shares you wish to donate. Further information on donating shares to charity can be obtained from Share Gift.
